Killing Superwoman: A Guide for Mindful Living and Radical Self-Care

You won't want to miss this!

Hey Family! Guess who’s back! I’m me! Atiya! Hey girl Hey!! The last time we spoke, we talked about viewing 2020 as an opportunity. An opportunity to focus on personal growth and development. It seems that we were not alone. Have you heard of The Great Resignation? Well to my understanding, many people across the nation have decided that they are not willing to go back to the old “normal.” Many have used their time during the pandemic to go within and prioritize their own wants and needs. Some, for the very first time in their lives. Most often, as women, we devote all of our time and energy, running the rat race and prioritizing other peoples expectation of who and how we should be. In my experience as a therapist, I have heard so many women report that they don’t have the time to care for themselves. Some haven't even been taught how. Our only direction is to be strong and "get over it!" Ask yourself this...Can I get some of the 24 hours in the day for my self-care? Don’t I deserve it? If I give myself what I need, wouldn’t that make me better able to manage myself and care for my loved ones? Aren’t you tired of being tired? Sis…, time waits for no one! Your time is NOW! You are receiving this message because I consider you a Morning Melanin MVP. I want to take a moment and thank you for supporting Morning Melanin. Over the last year I have taken some time to figure out what's up next! There have been so many changes in the world. The one thing that has not changed is the importance of Self Actualization! Our ability to be the best versions of ourselves! Well, I am currently in the process of outlining practical action steps I have used to help clients make necessary, fundamental changes and break generational cycles. I have practiced these practical activities in a variety of settings with people experiencing challenges including, but not limited to, diagnosis of depression, anxiety, PTSD, BPD; as well as with individuals who’ve experienced verbal, emotional, physical, sexual and generational traumas. I am calling the new series: Killing Superwoman, A Practical Guide for Mindful living and Radical Self-Care. If you are interested in hearing more about what’s up next, send me your email or just visit www.MorningMelanin.org and sign up to become a member of the family. Be the first to get the latest tea! Hope to hear from you soon!
